The newly formed Red Rock Audubon Society – West Branch will hold its second meeting on Monday Oct. 24, 2011 at the co-operative extension building on 1651 E. Calvada Blvd, Pahrump, NV. Meetings start at 6:00 pm.
Guest speaker, Christy Klinger (NDOW), will present on the dangers to wildlife of using PVC pipe and other hollow devices to mark mining claims. Christy will also lead a project outing to Sandy Valley, Searchlite, Mt. Sterling, and Goodsprings on Saturday, November 5, 2011 to remove these death traps.
A birding field trip to Willow Creek golf course is planned for Saturday, November 19, 2011.
The November meeting of the Red Rock Audubon Society – West Branch will be held in Pahrump, NV on Monday, November 28. Sharon Mc Kelvey, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Manager of Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge will be the guest speaker.
