This afternoon there was an immature male Eurasian Wigeon in a very large flock of Americans. They were in and around a pond visible from W Hidden Valley Dr on hill overlooking the course – just south of Mira Loma and Carnoustie. Reddish head and gray sides were very distinct. Buffy crown was faint, but visible when the bird looked directly at us.
There were also some ring-necked ducks on the pond, and 12 Greater White-fronted Geese flew over.
